Your first sight of this singer reminds you of the ever-popular Jamaican Born Reggae icon Sizzla Kalonji. His scintillating voice rattles and titillates your ear drum whenever he chooses to talk or sing. Always full of life. This calm, cool and collected artist relies a lot on his instincts to write his songs.

Born Isaac Amos Barde on the 9th of May 1974 to the Family of Mr./Mrs. Amos Barde, Young Zikky joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church choir at the tender age of thirteen (13) from where he got his first music lessons. He wrote his first song shortly after that, while he was in junior secondary school class two (2).

After several years in the choir, he had his first baptism on the microphone in 1994 in a talent hunt tagged Musikola “94 which held at Bosan Hotel Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He took home the first prize with his hit song titled Jah Gwan Dash Thunder.

Zikky took his nom de plume from the way his mother used to call him each time he went out to play as a child (Aizikki). At first he didn’t accept people calling him the name, not until he decided to pick up his brand name as an artist, he eventually accepted to be called Zikky.

Zikky is an Indian name for a female child, Whenever he relates with Indian guys mostly online they refer him to a female, from there he added MAN to the name to differentiate it from being referred to as a woman.

A graduate of NIIT Ring Road, Accra Ghana, Zikky admits that life is a combination of complication but that the options in it span many boundaries.

The third son of a retired soldier and a fashion designer, Zikky has had the privilege of travelling through the length and breadth of Nigeria following his father wherever he was posted to. From North to South, East, West and now the Central of Nigeria Abuja.

Young Zikky always try to keep his musical talent alive, combining it time after time with his skills in the world of Information & Communication Technology (ICT). Currently a well-trained professional website and mobile app developer and a programmer, who specialize in web based applications and Software development, he hopes to pursue both music and programming as a career of sort.

He has had the opportunity of sharing the microphone with a host of other Nigerian artists both on stage and in the studio.

Zikky Man, who said he will never give his ex-girlfriend a second chance, is happily married to Hope Ucha Barde and was blessed with a lovely daughter named (Deborah).
