Born Isaac Amos Barde on the 9th of May 1974 to the Family of Mr./Mrs. Amos Barde, Zikky joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church choir at the tender age of thirteen (13) from where he got his first music lessons. He wrote his first song shortly after that, while he was in junior secondary school class two (2) After several years in the choir, he had his first baptism on the microphone in 1994 in a talent show tagged Musikola “94 which held at Bosan Hotel Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He took home the first prize with his song titled Jah gwan dash thunder.
Zikky took his nom de plume from the way his mother use to call him each time he goes out to play as a child (Aizikki).
At first he doesn't accept people calling him the name, not until he decided to pick up his brand as an artist, he eventually accepted to be called Zikky. Zikky is an Indian name for female child, Whenever he relates with indian guys mostly online they refer him to a female, he then told them he is not a female he is a male, from there he added Man to the name to differenciate it from been referred as a woman.
A graduate of NIIT Ring Road, Accra Ghana admits that life is a combination of complication but that the options in it span many boundaries.
The third son of a retired soldier and a fashion designer, zikkyman has had the privilege of travelling through the length and breadth of Nigeria following his father wherever he was posted to. From North to South, East, West and now the central of Nigeria Abuja, young zikky always try to keep his musical talent alive, combining it time after time with his skills in the world of Information & Communication Technology (ICT). Currently a well-trained professional website developer and a programmer, who specialize in web base applications and Software development, Zikkyman hopes to pursue both music and programming as a career of sort. He has had the opportunity of sharing the microphone with a host of other Nigerian artist both on stage and in the studio.
Zikkyman who said he will never give his ex-girlfriend a second chance is happily married to Hope Ucha Barde with one kid. He has few tracks to his credit with a vow to unleash more. A perfect Dancehall Reggae Artist with a blowing and breezy disposition that brings an uncommon uniqueness to his works. The singles are titled Conflicts and Sorrows – (The untold story), My Healer My Redeemer and Ucha My Love (Olo Lu Femi) and are soon to be released once the contract with his current label is appended.
He has just releases the long awaiting single title "You're My Juliet" Produced by Dave Azi, song which has been making waves in the Air waves and on some online streaming platforms.
Zikky is currently in the studio recording some tracks to complete his forthcoming EP which is shecduled to be release in 2022. (Release date will be communicated soon)
Zikkyman is an indigine of Kaduna State but possess some eastern input in his work by virtue of his mother being from Umuahia Abia State, Nigeria.
